Tarika Powell is an environmental policy professional (JD Vanderbilt University '09) with expertise in fossil fuel infrastructure, greenhouse gas emissions, environmental justice, strategic communications, and DEI. She helped shut down dozens of fossil fuel projects in Cascadia and has written extensively on the green-washing of fracked gas. Tarika is a trained educator (M. Ed.) and speaker who uses the neuroscience of engagement to effectively convey complex environmental and socioeconomic concepts to a wide variety of audiences. She is a mental health advocate and has served on the board of Washington Therapy Fund.
